A large variety of old items from BBC Television Centre are to be sold off in an online auction taking place over the first week of November, including a large, 3.5m wide by 2.5m high canvas backdrop that was used to promote Doctor Who during the eleventh Doctor's era.The auction is being held by PPAuctions, which comes as the Television Centre itself is formally handed over to its new owners, Stanhope plc, at the end of the month; an earlier auction of BBC memorabilia was undertaken during June.
